Urban Little Sugar Creek Greenway
Grand Opening last Friday at Metropolitan Sq.
Congrats to Dick Winters, Member of Park and Rec Advis. Board and CABA member and Ed Moyers of the Commuter Support Group and former CABA Board Member, for pulling off a successful ceremonial bike ride along the paved off-road greenway route for the grand opening ceremony yesterday held at the main fountain. This signature project runs roughly 1.2 miles and connects to Freedom Park at one end and Metropolitan Square at the other. It also connects to bike lanes and safe sidewalks leading to Uptown from Metropolitan Square. Total cost in the range of $42 million. ULSCG will eventually be part of the 18 mile corridor from N. Tryon Street to the S.C.state line and tie into the Carolina Thread Trail.
Thanks all for stopping by the CABA display table !

It was a lot of fun and we had a very impressive range of folks on bikes !- mz/ CABA
