What’s a “sharrow”
We hear from Ken Tippette, City of Charlotte bike program manager that there may be more “sharrows” on the streets of Charlotte soon. But a lot of folks may not even know what a sharrow is. Basically it is a special lane marking used mostly on streets where there is not enough room for a bike lane but there is generally room and a tolerable speed limit for cars and bikes to coexist.
