CABA to represent bicycle interests
The “Center City 2020 Vision” process has just begun. This is the Master Plan that will chart the next decade of changet not only in Uptown but for surrounding areas. This time the underlying theme is sustainability. This is a major enterprise involving multiple participation from the business community, neighborhood groups, and key institutions – including CPCC and Johnson C. Smith.
CABA has been asked to join the transportation advisory committee. We will work closely with the staff of Charlotte Center City Partners, including Allison Billings, their transportation advisor and speaker at a recent CABA monthly meeting. Stay tuned for further updates as this process moves forward.
This process represents an exceptional opportunity for the bike community to influence urban development aligned with sustainable values that is long overdue.
